Snug Bug was founded in the early 2000s by Tessa, who continues to personally craft each heat pack with care and precision. What started as a small idea quickly became a trusted name in comfort and pain relief.
Tessa, an accomplished seamstress, first made a few heat packs for her family after noticing a lack of high-quality options available. Word spread quickly, and soon physiotherapists and chiropractors across the city were placing orders. Demand soared, and before long, Snug Bug became a household name—offering a safe, effective, and natural way to soothe aches and pains.
Snug Bugs aren’t just for professionals—parents love them too! They’re a safer, longer-lasting alternative to hot water bottles, keeping little ones warm and cozy through the night (especially under a duvet).
More than two decades later, Snug Bug remains a proudly handcrafted, locally made product—trusted by healthcare professionals and families alike.

Customer Reviews
Tessa's Snug Bugs are so great. They are beautifully made and last well. I use them in practice regularly and everyone in my family has one too!!! They make great gifts!!!
Tessa could not have chosen a better name for her company. Her bean bags keep myself, family and patients Snug as a Bug! Excellent quality, efficient and friendly service.
We have been using Tessa's snug bugs in our physio practice for at least 14 years now. They are very popular with our patients for pain relief, muscle pain and stiffness in all areas of the body and to help with stomach cramps and sports injuries. In fact Snug Bugs uses are endless! They are so comfy to use and the covers are washable. We will continue to use Tessa's Snug Bugs for as long as she continues to make them. We love them!
We have used Snug Bugs in our practice for over 10 years and have been thrilled with the quality of the product. There are a great variety of colours and the bag retains heat really well! Many of our patients buy their own “Snug Bug” to assist with their pain management at home.
